The Adafruit SHT40 breakout carries Sensirion's fourth-generation temperature and humidity sensor, one of the most accurate in its class. A true I2C interface means just two data wires, and an on-board regulator and level shifting let it work with almost any microcontroller or single-board computer.

Key features

  • Sensirion SHT40, the fourth generation of the SHT range
  • Typical accuracy of ±1.8% RH and ±0.2 °C
  • True I2C interface: two data wires plus power and ground
  • STEMMA QT / Qwiic connectors for solder-free hookup
  • Voltage regulator and level shifting for 3 V or 5 V systems

Specifications

  • Sensor: Sensirion SHT40
  • Humidity accuracy: ±1.8% RH typical, 25–75% RH
  • Temperature accuracy: ±0.2 °C typical, 0–75 °C
  • Interface: I2C
  • Supply: 3–5 V

In the box

  • Assembled and tested SHT40 breakout
  • Strip of header (soldering required for breadboard use)

Works with

Arduino, Raspberry Pi, CircuitPython and ESP32.
