Raspberry Pi Pico
Raspberry Pi Pico is the original Pico 1 series: tiny, fast and versatile microcontroller boards built around RP2040, the flagship microcontroller chip designed by Raspberry Pi. A Pico is a low-cost way to get into microcontroller programming and hardware projects. Three versions are offered here: the standard Pico, the wireless Pico W, and the Pico WH, which is a Pico W with headers already fitted.
Key features
- Built on Raspberry Pi's own RP2040 microcontroller
- Micro-USB connector for both power and programming
- Pico W and Pico WH add wireless connectivity
- Pico WH comes with headers fitted, ready for a breadboard or jumper wires
- Same footprint and GPIO pinout as Raspberry Pi Pico 2, so moving up later is easy
Works with
The Pico 1 series shares its form factor, GPIO pinout and micro-USB connector with Raspberry Pi Pico 2, which is software-compatible with these boards. Pico add-ons, cables and accessories work with either generation.
